# Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information roppi.io (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit or purchase from https://www.roppi.io (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, customers, and anyone with an account on the Site. It does not apply to third-party sites we link to.

## 1. Information We Collect
**Information you give us directly:**
– Name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and phone number (if provided) when you place an order or create an account
– Order details: items purchased, order history, and any notes or messages you send us (for example, a damage claim)
– Email address and any preferences you provide if you opt in to our newsletter/marketing emails
– Account login information, if you register for an account
**Payment information:** We do not collect or store your full credit/debit card number. Payments are processed directly by our payment processors, **Stripe (including WooCommerce Payments)** and **PayPal**, each of which has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your payment data. We only receive confirmation that payment was completed and limited transaction details needed to fulfill your order.
**Information collected automatically:** When you browse the Site, we (and our service providers) automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring URLs. We use **Google Analytics** to understand site traffic and usage. See Section 3 for more on cookies and tracking.
## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
– Process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and communicate with you about them
– Provide customer support, including handling damage/replacement claims (see our [Refund & Return Policy](./refund-policy.md))
– Maintain your account, if you create one
– Send you marketing or newsletter emails, but **only if you’ve opted in**; every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time
– Understand and improve how visitors use the Site, using aggregated analytics
– Detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal and tax obligations
We do not use your information for any purpose beyond what’s described here without asking you first.
## 3. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including:
– **Essential cookies** used by our store platform (WooCommerce) to operate your shopping cart, checkout, and (if applicable) your logged-in session. These are required for the Site to function.
– **Analytics cookies** from **Google Analytics**, which help us understand traffic and site usage. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the [Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), or by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings.
**Do Not Track:** Most browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry-standard way to respond to DNT signals, so our Site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one.
## 4. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only as needed to run the business:
– **Payment processors** (Stripe/WooCommerce Payments, PayPal) — to process your payment
– **Shipping carriers** (e.g., USPS, UPS) — to deliver your order, which requires sharing your name and shipping address
– **Website hosting and store platform providers** — to operate the Site (WordPress/WooCommerce and our hosting provider)
– **Google Analytics** — for aggregated site analytics
– **Email/newsletter service provider** — only for contacts who have opted in to marketing emails
**We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.**
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a sale of the business), in which case customer information would typically be one of the transferred assets, subject to this policy’s protections.
## 5. Data Retention
We retain order and transaction records for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes (typically several years, per applicable recordkeeping requirements). If you have an account, we retain your account information until you delete it or request deletion. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we retain only what’s needed to honor that opt-out.
## 6. Your Rights & Choices
– **Account data:** If you have an account, you can review, update, or delete your personal information at any time by logging in, or by emailing **support@roppi.io**.
– **Marketing emails:** You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email, or by contacting us.
– **Access/deletion requests:** You can request a copy of, or deletion of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing **support@roppi.io**. We’ll respond within a reasonable time, except where we’re required or permitted by law to retain certain records (for example, order records needed for tax purposes).
– **California residents:** This policy is intended to satisfy the disclosure requirements of the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on the size of our business and traffic, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may or may not formally apply to us, but we extend the same basic rights described above (know, access, delete, opt out of sale — which we don’t do) to all customers regardless of location.
## 7. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at **support@roppi.io** and we will delete it.
## 8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the personal information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
## 9. International Visitors
We currently ship only within the United States, and our Site and its data are processed in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date, and where appropriate, we’ll provide additional notice.
